Pacific Nexus Media is a Los Angeles based boutique audio-post and music production house. Austrian born-and-raised founder Herwig Maurer was classically trained and started his career as a music producer and recording artist in his teens. After entering the Hollywood audio-post world as a sound editor creating the ambiences on Mel Gibson’s infamous Passion of The Christ, Herwig and Pacific Nexus Media have provided scores, sound design, audio editorial and re-recording mixing for TV, Film, video games and commercials.

Our specialty is to custom-tailor both the production flow and team to meet the specific needs and creative vision of the client.

Besides numerous electronica and rock releases (RCA, Sony, Mercury, Edel, R&S, Zoom, Telepathic, City of Angels, etc...), Herwig has garnered award nominations for both his film-score work (Zen & Zero - Best Score at Sundance / X-dance; Academy Award nomination for Best Sound Editorial on Apocalypto ).
